Statement from Megan Rolloff:
Questioning gender roles and expectations is a common theme throughout my work. I am a woman in her mid (to late) thirties, living in the mostly-conservative Midwest, and making the choice to not have children. Choosing to not fulfill the role I was “supposed to”, has brought about some unexpected observations and realizations about myself and the world around; and led me to ask “why do these gender expectations still persist despite how far women have progressed?”
