Soul Aspect
Artist Statement:
This marble piece is an abstraction of the female form. The model was placed in a pose similar to the Bharadvaja’s Twist. You can see the oscillation of the figure in this work from the hips of the piece to the shoulders. The white Colorado Yule Marble accentuates the grace and beauty of the feminine form. When finishing the stone, I polished it to highlight the crystalline structure of the marble.
About Loren Clark
Loren Clark has had an interest in art for as long as he can remember. He was born and raised in Utah. His exposure to the beautiful and diverse landscape of his home state, including the arches of Southern Utah and the peaks of the Rocky Mountains, serves as a great inspiration for his work. Recently he graduated from Utah State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art with Emphasis in Sculpture. Now he’s excited to work independently using the knowledge, skills, and abilities gained in college to find his own voice through sculptural form.
